Jackie is a traditionally published picture book and middle-grade author who focuses on themes like mindfulness, safe spaces, invisible disabilities, and authentic experiences of Boricua identity. Her picture books will debut in 2025-2026 with Big Sea and StoryVerse Land (Coeus Learning), and her middle-grade novel in 2026 with Arte Público Press.

Jackie is the founder of the Catalyst Creators Scholarship & Fund, an award aiming to support 2 students in high school and college as they write picture book manuscripts featuring marginalized experiences.
