Discover the STEAM Powered Poetry Video blog—where PreK–8th grade students explore
essential STEAM concepts through the lens of poetry. Each mini-lesson supplies educators with
free resources: poems, songs, curated book lists, activities, and crafts.
Our site features three key components:
Wee Steamers – Short, playful poetry videos designed especially for pre-primary
learners, perfect for introducing young minds to big ideas in science and art.
Student Videos – Creative, curriculum-aligned content made for and by students in
grades 1–8, offering fun, meaningful ways to connect with STEAM concepts through
poetry.
Poetry Video Contest – Open to junior high, high school, and college students, this
annual contest invites participants to blend poetry with video production as they
explore STEAM topics. Students may submit up to 6 poetry videos! Winners earn cash
prizes, and top videos are featured on our website for nationwide classroom use.
